Days for Girls works to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have improved health, education and livelihoods. To date, we have reached over 3.5 million women and girls with our life-changing menstrual health solutions.
Each standard Days for Girls washable kit includes: 2 waterproof shields, 8 liners, 2 panties, 1 carry pouch, a 100% cotton wash cloth, a small bar of soap, and an ovulation chart and directions, all packaged in a drawstring bag. Those are the things you can see. What you might not notice immediately is that those kits also contain: dignity, education, and independence. These kits and their accompanying education can lift entire communities out of poverty.
To complete menstrual health kits we fundraise to purchase supplies. You can send us monetary donations through: Grove City PA Team’s team fundraising page for Days for Girls International as well as sending needed items directly to us through our Grove City DfG Amazon wish list.
The other way to help us is to follow us on social media and share our posts: Days for Girls Grove City PA Team

May 1: The mission team from the Grove City Alliance Church that took kits into indigenous villages in January gave a presentation about their trip. We are already planning to send kits with this mission team in January 2027. Mexico is a blue zone, meaning there are no teams or enterprises there, so we can distribute kits in any way that works for us there.

May 2: Slippery Rock University Rotaract volunteers with us and will continue to spread the word on campus that washable sustainable periods products are the smart choice.

May 28: We celebrated Menstrual Health Day with cupcakes and updates. Since its beginning, the Grove City team has sent 7,395 kits as of May 28, 2026. In the last year, we have doubled our kit output. And we think that number will continue to grow as we build new partnerships in our community.

Collection Point Closes and Volunteers join other sewing teams (February 2026) This post includes the history of the PA Collection Point. The Pittsburgh PA DfG team began in 2015 and expanded to become the PA Collection Point in 2018. In 2022, the Collection Point and Pittsburgh team had to find a new building which led to them separating in 2023, at which time the PA Collection Point moved to Grove City while the sewing team stayed in Pittsburgh.

Updates from DfG International: Introducing the State Menstrual Health Report Cards
Days for Girls is pleased to announce the release of the U.S. State Menstrual Health Report Cards. Launched together with ISSA, The Association for Cleaning and Facility Solutions, at the recent Clean Advocacy Summit, the report cards are a new analysis of state-level menstrual health policy designed for easy understanding and communication between advocates and decision-makers.
The report cards assessed each state in five policy areas of menstrual product access:Taxation, Provision in schools, Provision in incarceration facilities, Provision in public buildings, and Liability protections for menstrual product donations.
The State Menstrual Health Report Cards are available now to view and download for advocates who are ready to help their state turn a lacking grade into period positive policies.

I live in Pennsylvania and I’m thrilled to see we have a great report card! There’s more work to be done but being ranked in the top states is certainly worth celebrating.
