If you missed the previous blog, I describe the process of working on the 2026 Advent devotional for the Presbyterian Outlook. The website is live for pre-ordering the devotional, Dear Pastor: Advent Letters.
During the editing process of the Dear Pastor letters, I realized that one of the letters alluded to creating a liturgy for someone in assisted living. Using the letter, I drafted the liturgy and sent it to the author to edit. Christmas at Home a liturgy for celebrating wherever you are, is now an available resource. Included in his liturgy is a prayer from A New Zealand Prayer Book and a link to a musical version of that prayer (used with permission). Thank you, Rev. Jenny McDevitt!
The Presbyterian Outlook’s Advent liturgies, worship services, and congregational materials from this year and previous years are available for free. There are suggested donations for each piece and I hope that you will be generous as these donations fund future projects.
