Days for Girls works to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have improved health, education and livelihoods. To date, we have reached over 3.5 million women and girls with our life-changing menstrual health solutions.
Each standard Days for Girls washable kit includes: 2 waterproof shields, 8 liners, 2 panties, 1 carry pouch, a 100% cotton wash cloth, a small bar of soap, and an ovulation chart and directions, all packaged in a drawstring bag. Those are the things you can see. What you might not notice immediately is that those kits also contain: dignity, education, and independence. These kits and their accompanying education can lift entire communities out of poverty.
To complete menstrual health kits we fundraise to purchase supplies. You can send us monetary donations through: Grove City PA Team’s team fundraising page for Days for Girls International as well as sending needed items directly to us through our Grove City DfG Amazon wish list.
The other way to help us is to follow us on social media and share our posts: Days for Girls Grove City PA Team

In the summer months, members of our team distributes washable kits, Smart Packs, menstrual cups, and disposable products on Wednesdays from noon till 2 pm at Grove City YMCA! These products are available free for anyone who wants to try a sustainable solution! Use the arena entrance, please.

We’re thrilled to have collaborated with several local Rotary Clubs, GCHS Global Scholars and Interact, and SRU Rotaract Club over the years. Last weekend, we were honored to participate in the Rotary DisCon luncheon, the Rotary District 7280 conference at Grove City College, where the Rotarians presented us with a generous gift to further our work helping women and girls, and later engaged in hands-on DfG service with us. Rotary International’s ‘Service Above Self’ motto truly embodies the power of collective action.

June 8: 160 DfG kits left our building, on the first leg of their journey to a Mexican orphanage and school. The kits and education will be delivered by the mission team, of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Sharon, Pa which supports the orphanage. A big thank you to Craig Campbell, mission team chair, for picking up the kits and the health flip chart.
This was also our “summer picnic” lunch and we had the George Junior Republic staff come as our guests. We appreciate all that they do for us!
Just a few days later we got an update that the kits were loaded into the supply van that is driving down to Mexico. They have made it as far as Illinois. This van and all of its content will be donated and the drivers will fly back with the other missionaries. We are “sew” excited to follow their journey. You can spot our boxes by our DfG logo.

We have received word that the missionaries and our DfG kits have arrived safely and we look forward to hearing more about their trip when they return home.
Speaking of mission trips… one of our DfG couples is also on a mission trip…

Walt and Cindy (and the Oak Grove Church) picked up 240 yards of fabric from Mook Fabric, our eastern PA wholesaler, on their way home from a mission trip. It will take our team almost three months to turn this much flannel into liners for our washable pads. Walt and Cindy saved us about $200 in shipping so we can make more DfG kits—washable kits are better for the earth, and better for your budget!

We had an absolute blast today at Grove City Market in the Park! Ruth worked at our booth with our volunteer Lilly, who’s doing community outreach as part of her role as American Beauties Royal Mid-Atlantic Junior Teen. We enjoyed the live tunes, meeting people excited about sustainable menstrual solutions, and getting to know the vendors.

Collection Point Closes and Volunteers join other sewing teams (February 2026) This post includes the history of the PA Collection Point. The Pittsburgh PA DfG team began in 2015 and expanded to become the PA Collection Point in 2018. In 2022, the Collection Point and Pittsburgh team had to find a new building which led to them separating in 2023, at which time the PA Collection Point moved to Grove City while the sewing team stayed in Pittsburgh.
